Suzanne is pumped to be the PTA President this year and do her best to continue the tradition of writing funny, yet insightful weekly newsletters. Suzanne is mom to Henry (grade 8) and twins, Lucy and William (grade 6), and is super excited to have all her kids at one school this year. Suzanne and her husband, Shannon, enjoy volunteering in the community and are proud to call Falls Church home. Suzanne is focused on making caring part of our students' everyday lives and looking for ways for kids to help kids directly in our community and beyond. Suzanne has served on many different PTA committees, including co-chairing GIVE Day at the elementary and middle schools.
Steve Mostow, President Elect
Steve has two kids in the schools, a 6th Grader at Henderson and a 9th Grader at Mason. In a previous life he was the Treasurer of an elementary school PTA in Alexandria and is extremely excited to continue his time on the Henderson PTA Board. A lifelong Washingtonian, he is a huge DC sports fan, federal government employee, and writes very short bios.
Robin Borum, Vice President
Robin is looking forward to serving as the PTA Vice President this year at MEH. Robin has worked for Falls Church City Public Schools for many years. She is looking forward to continuing a focus on service to the school community in her role with the PTA. She and her daughter, Emily (grade 6), moved to the City of Falls Church two years ago from Arlington. Robin served for three years as the co-Vice President of Programs at Arlington Traditional School in Arlington and was on the planning committee for the 2018 Falls Church Education Foundation Annual Gala and Auction.
Emily Draper, Treasurer
Emily is happy to join the MEH PTA with this team of talented volunteers. She is a happily married mom of two boys. Christopher is a 6th grader at MEH and Daniel is in 5th grade. Emily is actively involved in Cub Scouts in the City of Falls Church. Her husband, Nicholas, also serves with the Boy Scouts and volunteers with several school events. With Emily's experience as a finance executive in the government contracting space, she hopes to continue the streamlined approach to the treasury interface for the fabulous families in our Little City. Emily looks forward to being more involved at MEH.
Jenny Carroll, Secretary
Jenny moved to the DC area after growing up and going to school in Western NY. She married her husband, Mark, a commercial real estate developer, in 1999. After having twin girls in 2003, she decided to leave her advertising sales job to be a stay-at-home mom. In 2005, they chose to move to Falls Church City, yes, for the schools!! (and to get more space for their expanding brood). In 2006, their son was born. Jenny has been regularly volunteering throughout her children's time in the FCC schools and served as Room Parent for two years and as a Chair of the Elementary Book Fair for the past 5 years. Her twin daughters, Catherine and Meghan, are 10th graders at George Mason and her son, Ryan, is a 7th grader at MEH. She is looking forward to serving on the MEH PTA this year!
